The Roundtable is Nightreign's roster puzzle. One of the twenty — ten Nightfarers and ten Night
Lords — is marked for tonight, and the Hold's ledger will confirm or deny any name you put to it,
column by column, across side, shape, reach, scale and roster. Five names, and every one of them should
be narrowing the field.
How to Play The Roundtable
Name anyone on the roll — Nightfarer or Night Lord.
The ledger grades your guess across five columns that read across the whole roll.
Green — exact match on that column.
Amber — close: a shared half of a hybrid reach, or a frame one step off.
The scale column also shows an arrow pointing toward something larger or smaller.
You have five names. Fewer is better — and the solve is always deducible.
The Ledger Columns
Side — Nightfarer or Night Lord. The first cut, and it halves the roll.
Shape — Humanoid, Beast, Dragon, Insect, Aberration or Centaur.
Reach — melee, ranged, or a hybrid that splits the difference.
Scale — Light, Medium, Heavy or Colossal, and ordered, so a miss still tells you which way to move.
Roster — the base roster, or the Forsaken Hollows.
Calling, attribute and weapon class are not columns — they describe only half the roll, and a Nightfarer's weapon is unique anyway, so it could only ever confirm an exact hit. They are on the reveal instead.
